Spring Valley is one of the quieter corners of Nairobi: large gated homes and compounds off Lower Kabete Road and Spring Valley Road, between Westlands, Loresho and Kitisuru. Most of our clients here are families and expats settled in for a longer stay, plus guests in the area's serviced apartments and Airbnb villas. Because it is residential and set back from the main roads, there are almost no walk-in braiding salons nearby; the nearest are in Westlands, a 10 to 15 minute drive away. That is exactly the gap we cover. Your braider comes to you, brings everything she needs, and you spend a five-hour knotless session on your own sofa instead of in a salon chair.

• •Gate access: most Spring Valley homes and compounds have a guard or gate. When you book, tell us the estate or house name and any gate instructions so your braider is not held up. We share her name and ID details ahead of arrival.
• •Transport: quoted at booking based on your exact location. Spring Valley is close to where many of our braiders are based, so the fee is usually at the lower end of our range.
• •Timing: allow the full duration shown on the style card plus 30 minutes for setup and finishing. Morning starts work best for long styles like knotless and boho braids.
• •Hair and space: extensions can be brought by the braider at cost, or you can supply your own. A chair, good light and a plug socket are all she needs; no sink required unless you book a wash.

Knotless braids and boho knotless are the most-booked styles here, usually mid-back length for a low-maintenance protective style that lasts six to eight weeks. Box braids are the choice for families booking two or three heads on the same day. Twists and locs retwists are popular with clients who want a shorter session.
